Transformers Ripoff #26

The Warrior Hero
From the Shinkansen Line.

What is hard to appreciate from this photo (I had wanted to take more, but I got quite forcibly chased away by the vendor!) is this is basically a Pixar Cars merged with a Transformer. You can see the big toothy smile along the bottom rim of the nose.

Unfortunately, this is not the dime a dozen ripoff, because it's an actual anime, and a fairly popular one at that considering how it achieved 2 seasons.

超特急ヒカリアン

You might want to do some research on your mecha and anime before you label everything as a Transformer knockoff.

Highly Gifted- Right... because in these posts I actually care alot about ANY this stuff. Doing research about a kids show, wish I had the spare time you seem to think I have...

Correct me if I'm wrong here in this guess, your anime show was not not made before either Transformers or Pixar's Cars? If so than these would still be ripoffs like I've said, just ripoffs that trancend toys...

I really couldn't care less what or where any of these come from, so long as they are an amusing deviation of the toys I played with as a kid. This are just that... Lame Car inspired ripoffs.

Please alert me how I'm wrong.

Uh. Speaking as a consummate collector of toys (cf. http://goo.gl/FntWx ), there's a lot of design dispersal from as far back as the 1950s (like Gigantor).

Plus there's the super-deformed stuff, which does involve making things like mecha appear cute. So really, this is no more a rip off of Cars or Transformers than either are of the super-deformed designs or Microman.
