Restless Down Under

End of another full on week. I ended up at the Kindergarten for 2 days, which though fun and brainless, drains me of a lot of my energy reserves (little kids need constant attention unlike older ones...). Adding to this sense of blah, I've been suffering insomnia this week (a very rare thing, normal I sleep like the dead) and have been a wreck waking up at 3-5am everyday unable to proper get back to sleep.

Yet despite it all I've made some huge headway on my Claw Reef piece. I'm getting quite happy with it, and should have it done after a few more hours. As it stands I could probably put it in the gallery, but in my estimation it is only 75% complete. So let me know what you think, and any additions or subtractions that are needed.

Looks fine to me, Craig! In my opinion it's 100% done. I don't know what you have planned for it, but I guess I have to leave it up to you as you ARE the artist after all. :P

And, I'm sorry about the Insomnia, dude! That stinks! :P When you said you "sleep like the dead," you sound like me, lol. Again, sorry about the Insomnia.

m. It is looking pretty amazing.

Small suggestion. What about a highlight on the little blue critters of a vastly different colour? Add a low-opacity yellow (nothing too red underwater) to the highlights, but not the midtones and see if it jumps visually? It may add complexity to their surface colour.

Sometimes warm shadows and cool highlights can work, but I think it would be too mechanical.

I have no idea how the difficult that could be with your programs, so feel free to shake your fist at me.

Glendon- I never get tired of reading your comments. I believe that you need to keep up those witty comments because they make your comments about as interesting to read as the post itself. ;)
